For some reason it's more fun to see the scale pass by the 5 & 10 lbs mark (like going from 275 to 274), than all the pounds lost in between.
Did my first heavy leg day last night, then my first heavy arm day today. I was going to give it a day between the two, but I felt like lifting. I'm not even close to what I was lifting at my peak about 8 months ago, but I'm not as weak as I thought I might be. The increase in calories/protein has increase my strength dramatically in just a few days. I guess I was cutting it too low before. Maybe so, but the first 46 lbs I lost aren't complaining.
Feels good to do deadlifts and leg presses again. Not sure if I'll get into squats again, it is the only lift that I've never really felt natural or comfortable with. I know my form sucks, but even when I've tried to focus on correcting it, I still couldn't get it right.
For now I'm going to have 2 heavy lifting days (1 arm & abs/core, 1 leg & back) with 30 to 45 minutes of cardio on those days. The other 5 days a week will be all cardio.
