In the ever mysterious "What is going on inside my body?" department, I basically took a week off (or at least a week of not closely watching what I ate and having a few beers after dinner) and I lost 3 lbs. I have lots of theories on how/why this kind of stuff happens, but it only seems to work out that way when you aren't expecting it.


The 30th day was yesterday, so that put me 15 lbs down in 30 days. I was hoping for at least 20 lbs but I'm happy with 15.


I'm right back at the lowest weight I got to in July, 2010, when I then had to live on the road for a few months and gained back the 15 lbs. So, even after a pretty intense month of diet & exercise, I'm more excited about attacking the next 15 lbs because it feels like real weight loss instead of making up for lost effort.
